Lyle N. Shugar
Vice President
Lyle has a strong customer service background. In 2002 he
was responsible for the operation of 11 retail stores; in 2003
he was asked to take over the purchasing office in China and
took a leave of absence from university in order to do so.
While overseas, Lyle was responsible for the purchasing of over
$30 million worth of product. After completing his posting
overseas, Lyle returned to complete his Honours B.Com from The
DeGroote School of Business at
McMaster University. Most recently, Lyle was
the Logistics Coordinator for a marketing company called
Match Marketing Group where he was responsible
for servicing a client list that included the NBA,
L'Oreal, Garnier Fructis, Mattel – Hot Wheels as well
as many others.
Lyle has also been heavily involved in the jewish community
since his high school days. While at CHAT
(Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto), he was president of the
Student Council and also sat on the Board of Directors. Lyle
has also been an important contributor to the Maccabi
Youth Games, sitting on the board of directors for the
Toronto delegation as well as being a coach for several years
at the games.
In 2004, Lyle was a guest speaker at the McMaster
School of Business for all 4th year International
Business Students. He also served as a judge for the Provincial
DECA Marketing Challenge, an international
business challenge for high school students.
Scott K. Newman
Sr. Event Coordinator
Scott has been working in client care for several years now.
His most recent position was as Vice President of Operations
for a flooring business where he supervised all purchasing and
operational activities within the organization. His duties
included coordinating all shipments for customers along with
scheduling and on site installations. His customer base
included several commercial clients with yearly revenues over
$100 million.
In 2004, Scott completed his B.Com from the DeGroote
School of Business at McMaster
University. While he was attending McMaster he was the
Supervisor of the Allan Gould Trading Floor.
This unique trading floor facility was only the second in
Canada of its kind. He also served as Information Systems
Director for the 25th McMaster World Congress,
an international business conference for academics and
practitioners.
Scott has been a part of the jewish community his whole
life. He attended the Hamilton Hebrew Academy for his
elementary education, and then went on to graduate from the
Yeshiva Beit Yitzchuk.
